IL ASCD was formed in 1947 as one of the six original affiliates of the international organization ASCD. Our organization focuses on issues, trends, and research that relate to learning, teaching and leading. We offer programs and publications for all grade ranges (Pre-Kindergarten to Higher Education) and positions within schools. Professional Development can be tailored to meet the needs of schools or districts and address curriculum development, instruction, assessment, grading and/or supervision. IL ASCD continues to expand its operation and is the essential “go to” organization for educational leaders in Illinois.
Founded in 2006, Mindful Practices specializes in the implementation of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and well-being using a comprehensive and data-driven approach. We support and empower students, educators, staff and administrators through coaching, professional development, trainings, certifications, and workshops. Our highly qualified team of SEL Specialists combined with Class Catalyst, our innovative EdTech platform, provide schools nationwide adaptive SEL implementation.
