SEL shifts to move from Deficit to Support Thinking: Schools can perpetuate deficit narratives about students. This form of thinking is harmful to the growth and development of all students. This session will examine root causes of deficit thinking and provide strategies to shift our thinking to provide necessary supports in key subject areas.
